Daily Count App Reviews

Too much work

Problem is that you have to enter everything yourself. I dont know what or how much every food has. Not useful for me.

Excellent!

Im surprised by the amount of poor reviews for this app. It does exactly what it says it will, and does not crash or make my iPhone act loopy. People complain that you cannot save food info, but the whole point of inputting it each time is so you can see exactly what you have eaten for the day (so you wont forget anything). Sure, you could use the calculator app to do the same thing, but for $1, its great to have the info in a seperate app with a cool progress bar. If you count calories like I do, this will make your life easier, and isnt that the whole freakin point?

Too bad I spent a buck on this

Because it doesnt do a thing - I could use a calculator and be equal to this. To enter any food (calorie only) amounts, OR exercise calories burned, you have to know the number - there is no database to give you those amounts. Worthless.

Extremely useful

Ive been using this, in combination with WeightTrack, to track the progress of my carefully planned diet and exercise regimen. Ive lost 15 lbs in 3 months while building muscle mass; lost almost 3 inches from my waistline! Daily Count has helped a great deal to maintain my diet discipline; I just check my calorie balance to see if I can eat more or if I need to work out a little longer in order to have the meal Ive planned for later in the day. 4 stars for a simple but very, very useful program. Itll get 5 stars if they add a history, and a simple weight tracking tool.

Great App - Exactly what I nedded.

Works great, looks great. I enter my calories, see a running total and a log of what I have eaten. Has really helped.

Nice program its worth it!

I found what I was looking for. Only if it would save it in history.

Worthless

It doesnt actually know how many calories are in the food youre eating. So you have to enter it yourself manually, making this program nothing but a dressed up calculator. Not worth it even if it were free

Nice but could be better

Easy to use but annoying that you have to re-enter items from day to day. Wish it saved frequent information.

Cumbersome!

This app does not recall foods you have entered before, so you must re-enter EVERY TIME. This app would only be worth it if it was free. I highly recommend visiting the frequently asked questions page of their website to see the additional issues this app has.

Nice interface but lacking a few functions

My bad for not reading the description more thoroughly, but for $4 I expected that I would be able to look up foods and have the nutritional info displayed for me to add to my daily count. If nothing else, it should be able to store the foods Ive entered already to be accessed again. If that were added it would be the perfect app, as it would be quick and simple to keep a running daily total of my caloric intake.

Bought it, checked it out, stopped synch to the iPhone

It has minimal functionality. Im still looking for a program that can allow me to efficiently track the foods I eat.

Best Value for Calorie Counting

Does the job well. Its nice to send a report at the end of each day and save them in email. It would be better if you could save food items. Worth a buck for sure.

Has Potential, But Also MANY Limitations

This health app probably has the best user interface of the apps Ive tested so far. Unfortunately, it has so many limitations that its really not that useful. Perhaps updates should include: *The ability to track progress & go back to past days? *The ability to look up suggested food items & calories? *The ability to store information, so that the user does not go through the tedious process of inputting calorie information everyday? Until then, this app is VERY unhelpful.

Great App

Perfect calorie journal..have been using it for about a week now and love that I dont have to carry around my little notebook/pencil anymore..at first I thought it would bother me that there was no history for past days recorded, but then I realized I need only focus on today and my current goal..if I meet my goal each day, I will see the pounds drop off..if you just want something to help you keep track of your calorie intake each day, this is it!

Okay App, but there are better choices.

I bought this app and LoseIt! While Daily Count does what it promises, LoseIt! goes so much further.

Simple and effective

This is exactly what I have been looking for! Nothing fancy about it...its a daily food journal for the iPhone. Lets me quickly see how many cals/points Ive eaten. I email my end total to myself at the end of the day so I can keep a record.

Excellent Program

Easy interface, remembers your foods and exercises, finds most foods from search, great graphs. Used for over 6 months and it still is recording data. Seems to have no limit however after 6 months it did lose track of my weight but still kept the food and exercise data. Havent lost any weight but by the easy recording of foods I havent gained any.

Perfect

For what some people call limits in features, I see as the apps strengths. I too have tried Lose it and others, but it was too cumbesome to track points on the fly. Daily Count is right on. Simple interface, great design. I find the progress bar motivating. The only thing I would add is the ability to save food entries so you can add the on future dates without having to retype them. Oh, and be sure to check the system preferences...select Daily Count and toggle whether youd like to see an icon badge of remaining points toward your goal. Five stars!!

Doesnt do what it claims...

Am i missing something??? I bought this app because it claims it tracks points. I cant find ANY way to set that up. I dont want calorie counts, i want point counts! Wish i could get a refund!

Not good

I did not like this program. Very limited. US$1 for it is expensive. You rather use a spreadsheet. I am looking to get another application. I want my money back.
